Community planning is the process by which councils and other public bodies work together, with local communities, businesses and voluntary groups, to plan and deliver better services and improve the lives of people who live in Scotland.
The Edinburgh Partnership is the community planning partnership for the city and brings together the public, community, voluntary and business sectors to deliver a better quality of life in Edinburgh. Our partners are:
- Edinburgh Association of Community Councils
- Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce
- Edinburgh Garrison
- Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations' Council
- Further Education sector
- Higher Education sector
- NHS Lothian
- Police Scotland
- Scottish Enterprise
- Scottish Fire and Rescue Service
- South East of Scotland Transport Partnership
- The City of Edinburgh Council
Each partner is represented on the Edinburgh Partnership Board - the strategic decision making body for the Partnership. There is also a board member to advise on equality and diversity and another representing the Neighbourhood Partnerships.
