Fitness for girls in school

We run two fitness programmes for girls in school. 

Fit for Girls

This aims to promote physical activity and sport to girls and young women. Using training, it aims to get girls more active.

Health 4 U

This is a health and wellbeing programme for young people. Topics include

  • energy balance
  • good mental health
  • fats and sugars
  • truth about diets
  • self esteem
  • women and men in the media. 

The programme was developed by Active Schools and Edinburgh Leisure and is funded by NHS Lothian.

Since completing the programme, 74% of girls have made at least one lifestyle change.
