Tom Morton's Fairly Good Show
Join Tom Morton and guests for an evening of song, chat, fair trade wine-tasting and other fairly good things. Tom will be appearing:

Hearty Squirrel Food Cooperative
A short video has been made to promote Edinburgh University's Hearty Squirrel Food Cooperative. The aim of the cooperative is to promote cheap Fairtrade and organic food.
Fairtrade Football Tournament
To celebrate World Fairtrade Day on 12 May 2012, Edinburgh University's People & Planet society hosted a Fairtrade football tournament on the Meadows. Prizes of Fairtrade wine and beer were awarded, and the footballs used were Fairtrade certified. More details.
The Lord Provost's Fair Trade Awards 2012
Lord Provost George Grubb presented the 2012 Fairtrade Awards. The winners were:
- Best Fair Trade Achiever - Real Foods. For 30 years Real Foods has been at the forefront of natural food retailing in organic, Fairtrade and special diet foods.
- Best Fair Trade Newcomer - Hibiscus Flower. A supplier of fashionable and ethical clothing and accessories from their Edinburgh based shop and online.
- Best Fair Trade Faith Community - St John Ogilvie's Church, based in Wester Hailes and promoting Fairtrade in the parish since 2003.
- Best Fair Trade School - St Catherine's RC Primary, Gracemount, one of Edinburgh's nine Fairtrade status schools, which actively continues to promote a fair trade world.
Cafe Camino hosted the awards presentation, which was sponsored by Scotmid Co-operative.
Fairtrade Schools Showcase
During Fairtrade Fortnight, a Fairtrade Schools Showcase was hosted by Drummond Community High School. The event highlighted the work of Edinburgh schools in relation to fair trade and education. Nine Edinburgh schools now have Fairtrade status. More information on Edinburgh schools with Fairtrade status
