How to challenge a parking ticket

Photographs taken by the parking attendant at the time of issue can be viewed online a day later. You can view them on our pay a parking ticket form, you don't have to pay to view them. 

Challenging your ticket

If you wish to challenge a parking ticket you can either email or send a letter by post.

Please include your parking ticket reference beginning ED, if you do not know the ticket number please supply your vehicle registration number.

Email file attachments - attachments over 10MB will be blocked, they cannot be released,  please consider sending smaller file sizes to avoid inconvenience and delays.

You can also fill out a form at our customer hub (up to Friday 9 June 2017 only, after that you will have to attend the Drumbrae Hub)

Customer Hub opening hours:

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30am - 4.30pm
Tuesday from 9.30am - 4.30pm
Friday from 8.30am - 3.40pm

We aim to respond within 28 working days and your ticket will be put 'on hold' and no further charges will be applied until we reply.

Parking and Permit team change of address 

From Monday 12 June 2017, the Permit and Parking team will be based at the

Drumbrae Hub
81 Drumbrae Drive

for four to six month due to the refurbishment of 249 High Street.

Opening hours will be

  • Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30am - 4.30pm
  • Tuesday from 9.30am - 4.30pm
  • Friday from 8.30am - 3.40pm
