Gaelic in pre-school
Gaelic in the early years
Some parents wish their children to have the opportunity of experiencing pre-school education in the Gaelic language. You don't need to be a Gaelic speaker yourself. Most of the children in Gaelic medium education throughout Scotland come from homes where the parents do not speak Gaelic.
The Gaelic medium nursery is in Bun-sgoil Taobh na Pàirce. As soon as your child is two years old you can put their name on the waiting list. When your child is three a place will be offered if it is available.
To apply please contact the nursery.

Your child will have the same learning experiences as children in our other nurseries and will follow the same Curriculum Framework. An understanding of Gaelic language is developed through play, conversation and songs.
Staff are fluent Gaelic speakers.
