Area development frameworks

View Area development frameworks

An Area Development Framework (ADF) sets out a vision for a distinct part of the city. It looks at developments, plans and hopes for these areas. The Frameworks then look at how these areas fit into the wider vision for the city.

Right now we have ADFs for 2 key parts of the city

  • City Centre Southern Arc
  • Waterfront and Leith.

These were developed through working with a range of people.

City Centre Southern Arc

The ADF for the City Centre Southern Arc was approved by Planning Committee in March 2012.

A summary of the consultation was produced and possible projects were discussed at a later event. You can download presentations from the event below.

Waterfront and Leith

After meeting with stakeholders from across the local area, a final version of the Waterfront and Leith Area Development Framework was formed. This was approved in October 2011.
