Powderhall regeneration

The Powderhall regeneration consists of proposals for the redevelopment of the former Powderhall waste transfer station and adjacent former bowling greens.

Powderhall regeneration

The redevelopment includes

  • hundreds of new homes
  • a new nursery
  • a restoration of the former stable block
  • new and enhanced green space.

Work so far

Significant consultation took place throughout 2018 and a place brief for the site was approved on 12 December 2018.

Clearance of the site has begun apart from the former stable block.

Planned work

Demolitions are taking place of the former waste transfer station and are scheduled to continue until summer 2019. Further consultations are planned to take place from February 2019 to determine its future use.

A masterplan for the wider site is to be submitted that will coincide with planning applications to develop the site in phases.
