Notice of times for inspecting returns as to election expenses

The election expenses from the candidates in the Local Government Elections held on 4 May 2017 are available to inspect. If you would like to view them, you can do so at the Elections Office

  • 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday
  • 9am to 3.40pm Friday.

You cannot inspect the expenses on public holidays as the office will be closed.

Declarations have not yet been received (as of 12 June) from

  • James Nisbet - UKIP
  • John Scott Ferguson - Independent

Photocopies will be charged at 20p per side.

Previous Elections

The election expenses from the candidates in the 2016 Scottish Parliament Election, the 2015 UK Parliamentary General Election and the Leith Walk by-election held in September 2015 are available to inspect. If you would like to view them, you can do so at The Elections Office.

The 2015 general election expenses are available until June 2017, the by-election expenses are available until October 2017 and the Scottish parliamentary election expenses until June 2018.

UK Parliamentary General Election - June 2017

The election expenses for the 2017 UK Parliamentary General election will be available from 13 July 2017.

Late return

At a general election, when candidates return their expenses after the first notice is published, a separate notice is published for each return. These can also be downloaded below.
