Summer reading challenge for children

Pop into your local library to register and take part. We invite children aged 4 to 11 to take up the challenge of reading six books during the summer holidays. This year's theme is Mischief Makers and is inspired by the iconic children's comic, The Beano.

The summer reading challenge starts on the 23 June and runs until the end of August.

You can include library ebooks and audiobooks from Overdrive in the challenge. Collect stickers as you read and when you've read all six books you receive a certificate and finisher's medal.

Mischief Makers is brought to you by Edinburgh Libraries, The Reading Agency and Tesco Bank Summer Reading Challenge Scotland.

Summer activities
