If you like the idea of getting practical paid work experience while studying towards a four year honours degree, then we have a great opportunity for you.

You will require to achieve success in both aspects of work and study for this apprenticeship. You will study for a BSc (Hons) Construction and the Built Environment at Heriot-Watt on day-release while getting on-the-job experience. Read about the four year degree course on Heriot-Watt's website.

Building standards surveyors make sure that building regulations and other legislation are followed when houses, offices and all other building types are designed and constructed or are being altered, extended or converted to make them safe and environmentally friendly.
