Is my building listed?
There are a number of ways to find out whether your building is listed:
- Check our interactive conservation area/listed building map
- Pastmap
- Phone the Planning Helpdesk on 0131 529 3550
- Use the Planning and Building Standards online service
Please note: The Planning Building Standards online service records are being updated. It is best to use one of the other methods detailed above to check if your property is listed.
Listed Building Consent
Most changes to a listed building, including certain changes to the inside of the building, will require listed building consent. The proposed demolition of a listed building will always require listed building consent.
Further information on planning and listed building applications is available.
Please note: Listed Building and Conservation Area Legislation has recently changed. Further information on legislation changes is available.
