The Edinburgh Local Development Plan - Main Issues Report
The Local Development Plan (LDP) will contain policies and proposals to guide development and land use across Edinburgh. The LDP will replace the two local plans - Rural West Edinburgh Local Plan (RWELP) and the Edinburgh City Local Plan (ECLP).
About the documents
- The Main Issues Report (MIR) sets out the options for the next plan.
- The Monitoring Statement (MS) provides the evidence base for the Main Issues Report.
- The Environmental Report (ER) assesses the options identified in the Main Issues Report.
The consultation period for the Main Issues Report ended on the 27 January 2012.
See the consultation feedback page for information on how we sought your views on the Main Issues Report.
A revised Development Plan Scheme will be published in March. This will set out the timetable for preparing the Local Development Plan. We will then publish a summary of the comments we received on the Main Issues Report.
