There are a number of forms which require to be submitted at different stages during the life of a Building Warrant from the sumbission of the initial application to informing the Council that the work is complete and ready for a final inspection.

Building (Scotland) Act 2003

The current legislation is the Building (Scotland) Act 2003 which took effect from 1st May 2005. Current Building Warrant forms are available to download.

Building (Scotland) Act 1959 & 1970

Building Warrant applications which were previously submitted before the 1st May 2005 require to use the Building (Scotland) Act 1959 & 1970 forms

Please note that you can no longer apply for a new Building Warrant in terms of the Building (Scotland) Act 1959 & 1970. Please apply using the forms referred to in the Building (Scotland) Act 2003 above.
