Business Improvement Districts

Business Improvement Districts (BID) are created where local businesses see the opportunity invest collectively to help make local improvements.

There are currently three BIDs in Edinburgh - Essential Edinburgh, the city centre BID, Queensferry Ambition and Greater Grassmarket. There are proposals to develop new BIDs in the West End.
