EGIP is the next and largest building block in the phased programme of improvements in central Scotland 's railway network.
More than just Edinburgh and Glasgow...
By 2016, this programme of works will significantly improve connections, journey times and service opportunities between Edinburgh and Glasgow via all routes as well as to Alloa, Dunblane and Stirling from Scotland 's largest cities.
