Health Walks

The health benefits of walking for just 30 minutes a day, five times a week, are:

  • better mood and wellbeing
  • keeping weight down
  • stronger bones, muscles and joints
  • improved sleep
  • reduced risk of heart disease, certain cancers and type II diabetes

A health walk is a FREE, short, gentle and friendly led walk which is tailored to match the ability of those walking.  They are a great way to meet new people and to get to know your local walking environment.  The walks are led by trained volunteers to ensure you are safe and have a good time.
