Public buses
Edinburgh has an extensive bus service that covers the whole city. The main provider is Lothian Buses. Lothian Buses have flat fares of £1.40 for a single journey or £3.50 for an all day ticket. Please note that you must have exact change as Lothian Buses do not provide change. Information on routes and timetables is available on the Lothian Buses website.
Tourist buses
Edinburgh Bus Tours offer a number of different tours of Edinburgh. Buses depart from the Waverley Bridge in the city centre (opposite Waverley Station). You can buy tickets on the bus, from the stewards or from the sales booth, which is located just inside Princes Street gardens by the Waverley Bridge.
