Help and support

Housing and support

We run three housing and support services for people with mental health difficulties. Our staff help young people and adults in the community to gain or build the skills and confidence to live independently. Both group and single housing is available, with different levels of support to match your needs.

AMPS  - If you are 16-24 years of age and are looking for a safe and friendly place to help you move on in life.

Colinton Mains - If you are 18-35 years of age and looking to share a home as a springboard to having you own place to stay.

Positive Steps - If you are 18-65 years of age and looking for your own place to stay with support.

If you need care and support, ask us for advice or to assess your needs. With your say, the assessment will be shared and discussed in confidence with a Panel run by the Council. It manages housing and support for people with mental health problems. For more details about this Panel speak with the person who carries out your assessment.
