Advice and support for families

We know that families are often affected when a family member is in prison. We also realise family support can be vital throughout the sentence and on release.

If you have a family member sentenced to custody and subject to a licence on release, you may be visited by a social worker.

This visit is intended to answer any questions you may have.  We will explain the yearly review meetings that you can attend while your relative is in prison.

Families Outside offer advice and support to families of prisoners.

Families Outside offer advice and guidance to families affected by imprisonment.
