If there is any reason that you have difficultly completing the application form or with any other part of the recruitment process, there is help available.
The Interpretation and Translation Service (ITS)
This service provides interpretation and translation facilities in approximately 40 community languages as well as Braille, tape, large print and British Sign Language.

Supported employment team
This team may be able to provide assistance with completing an application form and/or the recruitment process if you are someone who:
- has a disability
- has a mental health condition
- is HIV +
- has a history of offending
- has a history of substance misuse
- is in a marginalised group

Public Sector Academy
If you have little experience of going through a recruitment process, or are finding the application and/or recruitment process difficult for some other reason, this team may be able to help support you. This help is in the form of a workshop or one to one support on council applications such as how to relate your skills, qualification and experience to the Council's eligible and desirable criteria. Participants of workshops may also attend subsequent training on interview skills.
