On street recycling points for packaging and paper are available in residential areas where there are mostly tenements. Find your nearest recycling point on the Recycle for Scotland website. Check out our Paper, packaging and glass recycling points video.
Packaging points are black bins with a green lid where you can recycle all types of plastic bottles, cardboard drinks cartons, cardboard, clean aluminium foil, empty aerosols, food tins, cans and envelopes.
Paper points are black bins with a blue lid where you can recycle newspapers, magazines, unwanted mail (not envelopes), shredded paper, telephone directories, wrapping paper (except metallic or glittery) and other types of white paper.
