Festival 2012 is packed full of thrilling drama from some of the world's greatest directors, scintillating classical and contemporary dance, world-class opera from across the UK and beyond, and beautiful music from a whole host of international conductors, orchestras and soloists.

Edinburgh Folk Club

The Edinburgh Folk Club meets on a weekly basis within the Pleasance  Cabaret Bar in Edinburgh every Wednesday although there is a break during The Edinburgh Festival period and Christmas holidays. Performances feature a wide range of folk and traditional material.  All gigs at Pleasance Cabaret bar commence at 20.00

International Men's Volleyball - Great Britain vs. Belgium

Scottish Volleyball is delighted to announce a series of matches involving our Olympic hopefuls in June. With the team having already booked their place at the London 2012 Olympics, this is a great chance for them to showcase their talent. The GB Men, which include Scottish players Mark McGivern and Chris Lamont, are up in Edinburgh against Belgium at The University of Edinburgh on 12th/14th and 16th June.Tuesday 12th June - 1st serve at 7:00pm Thursday 14th June - 1st serve at 1:00pm* Saturday 16th June - 1st serve at 3:00pm*The match on Thursday 14th is targeted at Edinburgh Schools

The MoonWalk, Edinburgh

2012 is the 7th MoonWalk in Edinburgh! This year Inverleith Park will be transformed into ‘Midnight at the Oasis' - think Arabian Nights with all the mystery, colour and intrigue!The MoonWalk is organised by Walk the Walk. This is a unique event as not only do all the participants power walk a marathon (26.2 miles) or half marathon (13.1 miles) depending on which distance they have chosen, but they all wear decorated bras to raise awareness for breast cancer.Please visit the 2012 Edinburgh Moonwalk website for more details, including entry forms and route information.
