Cultural Partnership
The City’s Cultural Partnership was established in 2002, as recommended in the Cultural Policy ‘Towards the New Enlightenment’. The Partnership oversees the implementation of the City's Cultural Policy and related artform Strategies, and also plays a significant role in community planning with the Key aims and objectives have been established in consultation with a number of arts organisations in the city, and these remain at the heart of discussions and agenda planning. Aims: Objectives: The Cultural Partnership is chaired by Cllr Henderson, the Council's Executive Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure. The vice chair is Donald Smith, the Director of the Scottish Storytelling Centre and representative for the Literature Forum for Scotland. Membership includes a number of organisations representing a wide range of the Edinburgh cultural community as follows:
The Cultural Partnership holds 4 meetings a year, including an Annual Reporting session that allows the Partnership to both report to the cultural community and receive feedback.
