Children and Families' Workforce Learning and Development

We offer a wide range of learning and development to our staff working with children and families, as well as to charities and voluntary organisations. Our CPD (continuing professional development) courses are also available to partner nurseries, independent schools and other authority staff, although charges apply.

How to book or cancel a course

If you are a City of Edinburgh Council employee, find out how to book (page available to staff only).

Anyone else can book/cancel by:

• completing the online form
• e-mailing your request to candf.cpd@edinburgh.gov.uk
• calling the booking line on 0131 469 3227 between 12.30-4pm (Mon-Thurs) and 12-3.30pm (Fri)
• faxing 0131 529 6213  

Charges

These are the charges to attend courses

City of Edinburgh Council staff	Free (unless otherwise stated)
City of Edinburgh Council Partner Nurseries	£50 per day or £25 per session (unless otherwise stated) (except Child Protection, mandatory or statutory courses, which are free of charge)
Voluntary/Charitable Organisations	Free (unless otherwise stated)
Non City of Edinburgh Council establishments	£100 per day or £50 per session
