From 17 September until 12 November 2018, the City of Edinburgh Council carried out eight weeks of thorough public consultation and engagement on the City Centre Transformation, City Mobility Plan and Low Emission Zones projects, resulting in more than 5,000 people having their say.

Through 'Connecting our City, Transforming our Places', the Council tested 15 ideas for change which emerged from engagement undertaken in the Spring. These focused on better places designed with people at their heart and a more inclusive and healthy city, enabled by investment in streets and public spaces, public transport and technology.

All responses will now be subject to analysis and review, in order to prepare a summary of the findings which is due to be reported to Transport and Environment Committee in early 2019. Detailed proposals will then be developed for each project, for further public consultation in mid-2019.
