The City of Edinburgh Children's Panel
There are in the region of 130 members of the Children's Panel in the City of Edinburgh. Owing to the size of the Capital, Panel Members are divided into two geographical groups - Edinburgh City East and West.
Each area elects a Chairman and two Deputes, who undertake tasks ranging from rota and personnel management to liaison with SCRA and other agencies.
The Authority Chairman
and Deputes are appointed by Scottish Ministers and are responsible for
overseeing the City-wide function of the Edinburgh Children's Panel.
