Housing Advice

If you would like advice on housing, EH - Your key to CHOICE or EdIndex you can contact housing advice officers or any other member of staff based within our local neighbourhood housing offices, Housing Associations or Co-Operatives.

We can offer you advice on how to complete your EdIndex application form, as well as how to bid for properties through CHOICE. We can also offer you advice on which properties to bid for, including the right location, size and suitability for you. If you have been unsuccessful so far with your bids, or have any other similar issues, please contact us. We want to help you find a home as quickly and easily as possible so contact your local neighbourhood office or Housing Association or Co-op on :-

We welcome any of your questions; these may range from, 'What is my EdIndex reference number?' to 'I have a medical problem, can you advise me which properties would be suitable for me to bid for?' or 'How do I apply for Council or Housing Association and Co-op housing?'

Obviously, we cannot and would not want to make your decisions for you but we can hopefully guide you in the right direction using all the tools that we have to our use.

Another way to get the advice you need is to check out the housing options guide.

This contains information on Council housing, housing associations & co-operatives, the private renting market as well as owner-occupation. It will also direct you to a list of agencies that provide advice, help or support in a number of areas and for a number of issues.
