Teams announced for the 2015 Aviva Tour of Britain

The world's top teams will line-up for the Aviva Tour of Britain, which arrives in Edinburgh this September.

Race organisers revealed 2015's Aviva Tour of Britain will feature the biggest line-up of UCI WorldTeams to race in the UK this year, as nine of the world's best teams head to Britain in September.

Councillor Richard Lewis, Edinburgh’s Festivals and Events Champion, said: “Anyone with a passion for cycling will be hard-pressed to find a better place to be than Holyrood Park and the Old Town on 9 September. Race directors have hailed this year’s Tour of Britain line-up as the strongest ever, meaning Edinburgh fans have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the world’s best riders at the top of their game compete on the streets of the Capital. The teams been revealed just days after Chris Froome’s historic British win for Team Sky in the Tour de France; you can really feel that professional cycling is having its moment.”
