Edinburgh Marathon Festival road closures

More than 30,000 runners are set to flock to the capital to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival this weekend.

The races, which include full and half marathons, 5km and 10km runs, will be held over Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May and are expected to attract around 100,000 spectators.

A number of road closures and parking restrictions are planned between Friday 29 and Sunday 31 May to accommodate the routes, which lead as far as East Lothian.

In Edinburgh, widespread closures will affect areas including Canongate, London Road, around Arthur’s Seat, Lochend Road, Seafield and Portobello.

Full details on road closures, parking restrictions and timing are available from Edinburgh Marathon Festival.

Lothian Buses will also make changes to their services on Sunday 31 May. More information is available on their website.
