Junction upgrade works at Salisbury Place

Diversions will be in place for through traffic for an estimated six weeks from Monday 9 March 2015 to allow for traffic signal renewal and road resurfacing work at Salisbury Place and Salisbury Road, Newington.

Residential and service traffic will be maintained throughout the works. Bus services are being diverted, while restrictions will be in force for parking, waiting, loading and unloading. These works get under way at the same time as construction begins on an upgraded cycle route connecting the Meadows with the Innocent Path. Transport planning teams have assessed the impact of these concurrent projects and have put in place measures to help reduce traffic congestion. The Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by these works and will endeavour to ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum.
