Local travel restrictions in the Meadowbank area - Thursday 3 May

There will be some local travel and parking restrictions in force on Thursday 3 May to accommodate the arrival of the ballot boxes to Meadowbank Stadium.

Votes for the election are being counted on Friday 4 May and the ballot papers will be arriving at the centre on Thursday 3 May from approximately 9.30pm.

To ensure the smooth running of this, the following traffic restrictions will be in place, and parking attendants will be on site:

Wishaw Terrace, at its junction with London Road, will be closed from approximately 9.30pm to 1am to allow for the safe delivery of ballot boxes. During these times, the inside lane of London Road (from Cambusnethan Street to the entrance to the car park) will also be out of use.

There will be waiting restrictions in place to the north side (in front of the stadium, between the entrance to the car park westwards to its junction with Marionville Road). Parking will not be allowed in this area. All bus stops will be out of use and temporary bus stops will be in place.

We apologise to local residents for any disruption caused. Any enquiries about the road closures and parking restrictions should be made to Clarence on 0800 23 23 23 (8am to 8pm).
