A taste of judo, tennis and cricket at Festival Square

Festival Square, Scotland's official Olympic Live Site, is hosting a series of sports taster sessions this month as excitement builds ahead of the Games.

Judo Tasters, Wednesday 4th July and Wednesday 11th July, 2-4ppm. Judo Scotland with local clubs, Just Judo and Active Judo, will be putting on activities at Festival Square on Wednesday 4th July. The event will feature some junior athletes and showcase the best Scottish talent as brothers James and David Millar put on a demonstration. Members of the public can then have a go at judo themselves from 2-4pm.

Office workers take a break for some tennis in Festival Square Tennis Scotland activity Friday 6th July 1-5pm; Join us at the Live Site to watch the semi finals of Wimbledon. Alongside the action on the Big Screen, you can get involved in tennis taster sessions throughout the afternoon, when dinburgh Leisure and Tennis Scotland will run taster sessions and a highest rally competition.

Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th July, 10am to 4pm: Join Cricket Scotland for the first ever visit to Scotland of the Cricket Factory roadshow tour. Led by qualified local coaches from local clubs, this is an excellent opportunity for youngsters to have a go at cricket and even meet some of Scotland 's international players.
