Travel disruption warning issued ahead of Madonna concert

The City of Edinburgh Council and Lothian and Borders Police are advising the public who will be travelling through Haymarket on Saturday 21 July to allow extra time when travelling to Murrayfield Stadium for the Madonna Concert.

Doors open at 5pm and over 50,000 fans will be making their way to and from the stadium on Saturday. Pre-show facilities will be available from 2pm onwards.

Please allow extra time if you are travelling via Haymarket as the area will be very busy and there are road works in progress which may cause delays.

Murrayfield Stadium is not providing parking for this event, nor are there parking opportunities in the streets and area immediately surrounding the venue. Parking restrictions will be in place to ensure emergency access to and from the stadium is maintained at all times.

Anyone travelling to the concert is urged to consider using public transport or parking elsewhere in the city and making their way to the stadium on foot or by bus.

Please follow instructions from the stewards, police officers and environmental officers who are there to assist you.
