Hats off for troops as Knit & Natter groups join forces

Yesterday Edinburgh City Libraries joined forces with Parcels4Troops at a special event to mark Wester Hailes Library's 15th birthday.

Knit & Knit and Natter 1Natter groups from across libraries in Edinburgh have been spending their time recently knitting over 250 woolly hats for the troops in Afghanistan.

Soldiers from 1st Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland (1 SCOTS) came down to the library yesterday to collect the hats and meet the knitters.
