Win a panda in Corstorphine

Twelve pandas are looking forward to Christmas in Corstorphine, and you can win one to take home.

The festive competition, organised by the City of Edinburgh Council, aims to encourage visitors to Corstorphine High Street.

Twelve large panda soft toys are up for grabs. For your chance to win, tell us your most creative panda name, and why you've chosen it.

To pick up an entry form, you must visit one of the 12 participating shops in Corstorphine:

Blessings & Blossoms - Bliss Dancewear - Bon Chocolates - Cafe Rosa - Capability Scotland - Corstorphine Pram Centre - Edinburgh Vintage Toys - Marie Curie - Scotmid - Shelter - Timpsons - Williamson Florist.

Entry forms must then be returned to one of the stores.

The deadline for entry is 5pm on Saturday, 15 December, and the 12 lucky winners, one chosen from each of the participating shops, will be announced the following week.

The pandas will then be presented to their new keepers at the Old Corstorphine Parish Church on Friday, 21 December, at 10.30am.

Cllr Frank Ross, Convener of the Economy Committee said: "This is a really fun and festive way of encouraging people to shop in Corstorphine. The competition is part of our commitment to our Building Stronger Town Centres programme across Edinburgh."
