Essential roadworks on Broughton Street from tomorrow
tomorrow
The northbound carriageway of Broughton Street will be closed for up to two weeks while work is carried out to upgrade an existing manhole to accommodate a new drainage connection.
The traffic around the worksite will be managed through the use of temporary traffic signals operating on a single lane shuttle system.
The works are located outside St Paul's and St George's Church, at the junction of Broughton Street and York Place.
Work will be carried out during daytime hours from Friday 11 January, for up to two weeks:
Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 10:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am - 10:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am - 8:00pm
In addition, from midday tomorrow, diversions will be reinstated for buses accessing the bus station. They will again enter via Little King Street and exit via York Place.
