Advice for rugby fans in Edinburgh this weekend

Rugby fans heading to watch Scotland contest their first home game in the 2013 RBS Six Nations in Edinburgh this weekend are being advised to take note of traffic and travel information.

Scotland play host to Italy on Saturday 9 February (kick-off 2.30pm) and up to 67,000 spectators are expected to flock to Murrayfield Stadium for the match.

The Council is working closely with Lothian and Borders Police and British Transport Police to keep road and pedestrian traffic moving smoothly before and after the game.

A number of temporary diversions will be in place, with Police and stewards on hand to help direct members of the public from the Stadium to the city centre.
