Hours and hours more to explore

Art-lovers and museum fans can enjoy even longer opening hours in two of the city's best loved venues this summer as part of a special extended opening pilot.

Fashionistas and photography fans alike can linger over the current trio of fascinating fashion-themed exhibitions at the City Art Centre for two hours more every day of the week as the Market Street gallery will be open until 7pm daily until 8 September.

Meanwhile, children and 'big kids' have more opportunities to explore the much-loved collections of toys at the Museum of Childhood, which is now open every day from 10am to 6pm, including Sundays.

The extended opening hours for both venues are:

City Art Centre:

Monday to Saturday 10am – 7pm, Sunday 12pm – 7pm

Museum of Childhood:

Monday to Sunday 10am – 6pm, Sunday 10am – 6pm

The shops in both venues will also stay open late. Please note that the Museum of Childhood shop will close at 5.45pm.
