Line-up announced for Brian Taylor's Big Debate at Assembly Rooms

Panel members have been announced for the free live recording of BBC Radio Scotland's Brian Taylor's Big Debate at the Assembly Rooms later this month:

  • Forensic anthropologist Professor Sue Black OBE of the University of Dundee, who earlier this year was assessed by Woman’s Hour as one of the most powerful women in the UK
  • Atholl Duncan, former Head of News and Current Affairs at BBC Scotland, and now Executive Director UK and Global at ICAS
  • Mark Lazarowicz, MP for Edinburgh North and Leith

Another two politicians will be confirmed nearer the time, as will the topics for debate.

Brian Taylor's Big Debate is an hour-long live discussion, covering topical issues along the lines of its television counterpart, Question Time. It's being held in the Assembly Rooms Music Hall at 12 noon on Friday 25 October.

If you would like to take the opportunity to put a question on a burning issue to the panel, or just come along and be part of the audience, entry is completely free.

Tickets need to be booked in advance: you can secure your place at this lively and informative event by completing the application form on the BBC website.
