Good luck to Edinburgh’s boys in green

Edinburgh’s Lord Provost Frank Ross has wished Hibernian Football Club the best of luck for the Scottish League Cup semi final this weekend.

Hibs take on Celtic at Hampden on Saturday, hoping to reach their second Betfred Cup Final in three years.

In a message of support ahead of the match, he said: “On behalf of the people of Edinburgh (or half of them at least!), I want to wish Hibernian all the very best of luck at Hampden on Saturday.

“Up against a Celtic team who have gone nearly 60 domestic games unbeaten, Neil Lennon’s players ran them as close as anyone a fortnight ago and were only ten minutes from victory. Let’s home they can go one better this time and take Edinburgh a step closer to yet more silverware.”
