In order to make a vital budget saving of £300,000, some of Edinburgh’s public toilets will be closed from July and August 2015. We have asked for feedback from the wider community to establish views on closures; and identified any steps that could be taken to lessen the effects of losing these facilities. The feedback received from the public can be seen on the Council’s Consultation Hub.

Find out where the Changing Places toilets are in Edinburgh (which provide changing beds, hoists and space for up to two carers) on the Changing Places website. Please remember to phone the venue of the Changing Places toilet to ascertain availability.

Euan’s Guide provides information and reviews of accessible toilet facilities in venues such as bars, restaurants, hotels and sports grounds.

Find out more and sign up to join Edinburgh's Community Toilet Scheme where businesses receive an annual payment of £500 in exchange for allowing members of the public to use their facilities.
