Abandoned vehicles
If a vehicle has been abandoned, the Council can have it removed and charge a fee for its uplift and storage. If it is unclaimed, the vehicle may be scrapped. In some instances vehicles can be removed within 24 hours of notification, and others may take slightly longer. The Council works closely with the police and DVLA to trace those responsible for abandoning vehicles.
