Housing Management - Service Standards

When you become a tenant
  • We will inspect all properties and arrange essential work before customers view them. Any repairs to be carried out after the tenancy starts will be clearly detailed and appointments made.
  • We will make an appointment for you to sign the tenancy agreement, explain the tenancy agreement and right to buy, advise you of your responsibilities as a tenant and our responsibilities as a landlord, help with any Housing Benefit claim and give you information about your new home and area.
  • If needed, we will provide information about tenancy support (how to maintain your tenancy if you get into difficulties) and other services.
  • We will give clear guidance on maintaining your tenancy and how to pay your rent. We will give you a Tenant’s Handbook that explains this.
  • We will provide information about our home contents insurance.
  • We will contact you within the first six weeks of your tenancy.
