Housing Management - Service Standards


Applying for a house
  • We will process your housing application within 5 days of receiving it and tell you if you have been accepted on the common housing register, EdIndex.
  • We will send you an acknowledgement letter outlining what will happen next, along with a unique application identification number.
  • We will advertise all our vacancies on a weekly basis in the newspaper and on our website.
  • We will provide the results of every property let in our weekly publication and on our website.
  • We will provide a homelessness service and offer you an interview if you are immediately homeless. If you are threatened with homelessness, we will offer you an appointment within five days of contacting us.
  • We will publish guidance on how we allocate houses and keep accurate available and up-to-date records to ensure that our policy is fair and properly controlled.
