Welcome to the seventeenth series of The Edinburgh Lectures which will
present and discuss Chinese Connections.
The 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing has put China centre-stage and the 2008/9 series of The Edinburgh Lectures will reflect this international attention. Our theme "Chinese Connections" will allow a range of interesting speakers to discuss the economy, media, medicine, the arts and other matters providing a unique perspective of China's, past, present and future.
