City Mobility Plan

Waverley Bridge, Edinburgh

The City Mobility Plan will set the strategic approach for how people and goods travel into, and around, our growing city.  Its development will supersede the existing Local Transport Strategy for Edinburgh, in setting policies and actions to manage and improve the way in which people, and goods, move around our city.

The City Mobility Plan will support the developing 2050 Edinburgh City Vision, by ensuring the way that people and goods travel into, and around, our city helps to make Edinburgh a fair, thriving, connected and inspired capital city.

The key objectives of the project are

  • Improved built & natural environment
  • Improved health, wellbeing & safety
  • Improved equity & social inclusion
  • Responsible & sustainable economic growth.
