The Registrars Office is responsible for registering births, deaths and marriages which take place in the City of Edinburgh Council area. We carry out civil marriage ceremonies either in the Registrars Offices or now in certain Approved Venues.

We also issue certificates for births, deaths and marriages which have been registered in the City of Edinburgh Council area. These can be downloaded here. These should be sent to any of the offices below with the statutory fee of £13.50.
