Gilmerton Limestone Mines Ground Investigations Reports

Our consulting engineers, Arup Scotland, have now completed their survey of the wider Gilmerton area. They have not identified any new areas where there is a risk to health and safety as a result of limestone workings.

The Council has published eight individual reports covering virtually all the areas where our consulting engineers carried out ground investigations. These have been distributed free of charge to residents in each of the areas.

We have also published the results of the wider Gilmerton study. Copies of all these reports will be available in your local library and can be downloaded here in pdf format.
