A Safer Edinburgh for us all

A City For All Ages (ACFAA) - the city plan for older people is the result of a Council review of services for older people. The plan's 21 Strategic Aims, leading to a 10 year vision, are to be achieved within the next five years, includes actions to be taken on: transport, lifelong learning, community care, promoting health, financial independence, safer communities, neighbourhood supports, and concerns expressed by minority ethnic elders.

The Plan is based on the values and principles of social inclusion, social justice and community planning

There is full consistency between the Council's plan and the plan for NHSLothian - the Joint Lothian's Framework for Older People's Services. A Strategy Manager, in collaboration with the Equalities Forum for Older People, health and other sectors in Edinburgh, facilitates implementation of the Plan.
